Christine Bruxvoort lives in Ypsilanti, Michigan with her husband and two children. She spent most of her childhood with her two brothers, a sister and her parents in their centennial farmhouse in a small town outside of Port Huron, Michigan.  Christine’s interest in art stems from her memories of her mother making all kinds of  artworks from paintings and pastels drawings  to more interesting collage work using old scraps from the farm and intricate drawings on the mushrooms that grew from the trees. From that experience she grew to love art in many forms. She received a B.A. in Art and a teaching certificate in Art Education from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Christine received her M.F.A  in Studio Art  from Eastern Michigan University.  Christine’s artwork focuses on memory, family, and personal experience with illness. Although her primary medium is photography, recently she has incorporated video in multiple ways through installations and by creating sculptural pieces that become 'video objects' imbedding moving images within three dimensional work.
